The ship burial produced the greatest collection of treasures ever discovered in the UK, and rewrote the early medieval history of England. Buried in a chamber, built into the centre of the ship, was believed to be King Rædwald of East Anglia, many precious artefacts of pottery, metalwork, gold and gems were uncovered.
